ndrea Lee is a rising star at the LPGA Tour, highlighted by her first victory in the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee has been a champion at all levels, winning nine times during her collegiate time at Standford University. She also had 17 straight weeks on top of the Women's Amateur World ranking. Following her win of the Mark H. McCormack Award as the best-ranked Women's Amateur in the world following the completion of the 2019 season, Lee made the switch to professional. Andrea Lee, a former amateur golfer, is now making her mark on the professional scene. You might not know these things regarding American LPGA Tour star Andrea Lee. Andrea Lee is a Los Angeles native, born in the month of August 1998. She began playing golf as a child at age five under the guidance from her dad James. When she was 8 years old, she began to compete at tournaments. In just four years, earned 50 junior titles. In 2014, the US Women's Open was her first major cut. It was her 15th birthday and her father was her caddie. She missed out on making her LPGA Tour cut at the 2015 ANA Inspiration by just one shot. Lee played for the USA in the Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup Women's World Amateur Team Championship and the Junior Ryder Cup. The first female student at Stanford University, Lee was one of the best-known Stanford athletes in its history. Over the three years following her graduation, she won numerous title. Lee left Stanford University to turn pro in 2019. Her amateur playing career included an entire 17-week stint as she was the World Amateur Golf Ranking leader. Lee received the Mark H. McCormack award in the season of 2019 after being the number one amateur. Lee was a hole-in-one four times and one albatross while an amateur. When she made her debut as a player on the LPGA Tour, Lee had two top-10 results. She finished T7 in the 2020 AIG Women's Open at Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee's first LPGA Tour victory came in 2022 Portland Classic. Lee dedicated her victory to her late grandfather Min. "He has always called me a champion, and he always believed in me." I'm extremely thankful to his support and know he's watching today. Lee has previously competed in figure skating, soccer and taekwondo. Lee loves watching movies, singing in bowls as well as skiing.
